ooc: BWHHHAAAAHA the truth about Kyubi! -very sad- Not realistic, but sad...
Chapter One-Iced In
The she-fox slinked about, sniffing the two cubs by her side. “Kyubi, we're going to starve here” She said. Her eyes looked up at him, begging. “Don't go, I'd rather die, than have you risk your hide out there, with humans....ninjas....” Her voice broke “don't go!
Kyubi shook his head, in the den, buried in the ice, his mate could not leave her cubs, and the cubs could not go. He would have to bring them food from one of the villages. “I must” She nuzzled him. Her eyes wordlessly mournful. They were as feeble about it as the cubs. His tails lashed about, entwining with hers. “I'm..sorry, I'll be back today or tomorrow, I promise”
And without another word form her, he left. Running till sweat drooled off him like foam, he came to a village, the ice had left, along with the sea-leopards and the dangers of the ice. It was warm, with much game, but by now he would need big stuff. He wandered to a village. He stepped through it, barking, begging for food in raspy fox.
They attacked. He skittered back, defending. His bark became panicked, though it just sounded more angry.
It was such a blur. It rushed past. Like the blizzards, he was buried by the swarms of people. Like the snow. It was thick, suffocating. Deathly. It was too powerful to be resisted.
He succumbed to instinct, allowing death to sweep the people. He knew he was a killer and felt sick.
And then darkness. Shadows. Crying. Mental crying. Like cub's mewing.
He heaved himself upright, something wasn't right. A sub-conscious boy, of about five watched him in the dark, it held out hands, claw-knives at the ends, with seal markings over it. He realized it was dream, but it was too real. No it was a projection. A sub-conscious, literally. The boy attacked, screaming youthful defiance, as if the knives in his hands made him do so. Tears ran down cheeks, plastering a scent of fear to them. Eyes white-blue with anger...fear..yes fear.
He defended. Eventually the child crumpled against him. Whispering in fox. Or was it fox? Or just mind-talk?
It sure sounded like fox.
He realized the child was crying, sobbing into his side. What was going on?
